The valley centre with the artificial lake of Santa Giustina is surrounded by green hills with castles immersed in fruit orchard and forests: ancient and fascinating mansions that are definitely worth a visit.
On the south in the heart of the Adamello-Brenta Nature Park, Lake Tovel stands out like a natural jewel. Canyons are the special attraction of the Val di Non. Dug in the rocks in the past millennia by the rivers that cross the valley, canyons can be explored along many trails.
Speaking of the most scenic trails in the rocks, the path from the Rhaetian Museum in Sanzeno, that illustrates the history of the Val di Non from prehistoric to late medieval times, to the famous Saint Romedius Sanctuary is also worth mentioning. As one of the most extraordinary shrines in Europe, this place of pure spirituality is perched on a cliff overlooking the stream Rio S.Romedio.
Enthusiast “gastronauts”, are invited to enjoy the “Strada della Mela e dei Sapori delle Valli di Non e di Sole”. A challenging project of recovery and valorization of typical or traditional products, the road of apples and flavors was also designed to integrate the rich and varied offer of agricultural produce, food & wine, hospitality, landscape, history, culture, arts and crafts under one all-embracing itinerary.
