Situated at 2054 m. you reach the pass having passed the hamlets of Penia di Canazei and Pian Trevisan. The area features the presence of the imposing artificial embrace defined by the dam which blocks the top of the Avisio valley, from which a 1.85 km lake originated. The Fedaia Pass, in view of the Marmolada glacier, is well attended in summer and in winter.
Located at about 8 km from Vigo di Fassa, it stretches on a wide meadow-covered saddle among the slopes of the Latemar range and the extreme reaches of the Catinaccio Massif. The area is an ideal base for numerous skiing facilities which are especially family-friendly and ideal to beginners.
PASSO SAN PELLEGRINO
San Pellegrino Pass, a wide mountain pass 11 km away from Moena, marks the border between Trentino and the Belluno province. Equipped with state-of-the-art lifts, the whole skiing area offers over 100 km of slopes of various length and difficulty.
The Giau Pass is known as one of the most beautiful Dolomites passes. It is famous because it was one of the stages of the Giro d'Italia and during the year here take place some important competitions.
Therefore it is not by chance that the Giau Pass is loved by cyclists and bikers, who enjoy the challenge of the difficult climb through endless hairpin turns up to the top, where many trekking trails begin.
The way Falzarego, situated at 2.109 meters of altitude, lies in the province of Belluno, and puts in communication the high Agordino to Cortina d' Ampezzo. The way Falzarego is among the most famous ways of Dolomites that has been run many times along the years in the Giro d' Italia and has been made important by the exploits of the strongest climbers of all the ages.
The way of Valparola is situated at 2.192 meters of altitude, in the Dolomites, in the province of Belluno, it puts in communication Val Badia to the way of Falzarego. In the way there is also a small mountain lake, the lake of Valparola and the museum of the Big War.
The Way Duran is situated at 1605 meters of altitude and is an alpine way of Dolomites that links the Agordino to the Val di Zoldo in the province of Belluno. The Way Duran offers spectacular sights on the reliefs of Pale di San Martino and has been destination of several stops of Giro d' Italia. The Way Duran is also famous for its Cliff of Pian de Caleda, which is very appreciated for the people who are keen on climbing.
