MUSE - The new museum of sciences
What to see in Trentino? The attractions suggested by Trentino in Moto for the holiday in the mountain.
With its approximately 19,000 square meters, this structure is the perfect place to know natural facts and to reflect on the relationship between nature and the environmental changes caused by humans.
The visitor will understand how science and technology can contribute to find good solutions for the future of the planet - when they are used in a sustainable perspective.
The museum offers a definitely "live" experience, especially for young people and families, a place where fun and learning are mixed in order to offer the best experience. The new Muse will be the heart of a project of urban redevelopment in an abandoned industrial area which has the signature of the great architect Renzo Piano.
The building is the example of a perfect integration between architectural form and exhibit function.
A section in the basement, in the gallery, tells the development of life from 250 to 65 million years ago in the Dolomites, in the Alps and in the rest of the world. The so-called "criterion of weightlessness" is a criterion that sets the exhibited animals on an imaginary mountain, then there are artifacts of the Neanderthals and the various stages of human evolution. The greenhouse on the ground floor recreates the atmosphere of a tropical mountain forest. The "Maxi Ooh" space offers children an exciting experience through real and virtual sensation stimuli.
The MUSE is certainly a place where parents and children can do experiences together and explore the environment in a creative and unusual way.
