The tour of the 4 Passes is one of the most exciting routes in the Alps with the many mountain passes between Val di Fiemme and Val di Fassa. The ride begins with a warm-up from Cavalese to Passo di Lavazé (1,808 metres) and its breath-taking views with the backdrop of the Catinaccio and Latemar ranges. It continues through the green valleys of Alto Adige - Val d’Ega, Alpe di Siusi and Val Gardena – crowned by spectacular peaks such as the Sciliar and the Sassolungo. The Passo Gardena, between Val Gardena and Val Badia is 2,121 metres above sea level. Here there are two options, whether to carry on towards Passo Sella or make a detour for Passo di Campolongo which links the Trentino and the Veneto regions. The ride uphill continues through a magnificent scenery up to Passo Sella, the highest point of the tour (2,240 metres). The plains overlooking the Sella peaks are unforgettable. However, the challenges are not over since, once at Canazei, riders can branch off for Passo Pordoi and take the cable to Sass Pordoi and enjoy a 360° view of the Alps at almost 3,000 metres. The return to Cavales is easy and the many towns in Val di Fassa and Val di Fiemme such as Canazei, Pozza di Fassa, Moena, Predazzo, Ziano and Tesero are the ideal places for a rest after an eventful day.
