Between Piné Plateau, Fiemme and Valsugana Valley
The tour starts from Trento and plunges into the lush nature of Trentino. The road through Val di Cembra and the Piné Plateau winds through chestnut trees, woodland, vineyards and lakes. A short refreshing stop at one of the many lakes - Santa Colomba, Lases, Serraia and Piazze - is a must. Once reached Val di Fiemme the tour goes on to the well-known 2,047 metres high Passo Manghen. This is the only tough part of the trip but you will be well repaid by a series of breath-taking hairpin bends. After a well-earned stop for refreshments at the Baita Manghen Hutte the descent to Valsugana is just as challenging and full of interesting places to visit such as Borgo Valsugana, Roncegno Terme, Levico Terme and Pergine Valsugana. The lakes of Levico (resembling a Norwegian fjord) and Caldonazzo (the largest lake entirely within the Trentino region) should not be missed.
