To reach Pergine Valsugana from Trento it usually takes just a few minutes. However, in order to capture the spirit of Trentino a detour must be made through the Piné Plateau and Val dei Mocheni (remember to stop at the Shrine of Montagnaga or at the lakes of Serraia and Delle Piazze). The 12 km long scenic route of Kaiserjägerstraße starts from the lakes of Levico and Caldonazzo with a drop of 1,000 metres and many incredible views (do not forget your camera). On the Vezzena Plateau and the Altipiani Cimbri there are several typical alpine log cabins, Austrian-Hungarian forts and vast expanses of grazing land. From Folgaria the road unwinds towards Rovereto, a town of art and culture, passing through Garniga Terme and ending in Trento with the challenging bends of Monte Bondone.
